CREATE A PAPER SCULPTURE

SUPPLY BOX
  • Any type of colored or recycled paper strips, varied width & length
  • Glue stick, liquid glue, tape or stapler
  • Scissors
EXPERIMENT

Try rolling the paper around a pencil to make curls or spirals or make accordion folds. Use your scissors to cut a fringe on the edge of the paper. Use a hole punch to make patterns in the paper or try rolling paper into a cylinder.

CREATE A 3D SCULPTURE

Create a tab or “foot” by folding each end of the paper to glue down your strips. This foot will give you a surface that you can add glue to that will help it stick to the paper. Try overlapping and interweaving the pieces to create an interesting design. Don’t forget to sign and display your 3D masterpiece!
