ARTworks
Hands on art lessons in your classrooms
ARTworks is an Art Museum program designed to take hands-on art lessons into classrooms across the eastern Idaho region. Since starting the program, we have taken art lessons to over 600 classrooms in six school districts throughout eastern Idaho, reaching over 15,000 students.
ARTworks lessons are available at no cost to schools across the east Idaho region. Lessons are led by a museum sanctioned artist instructor and are aligned with the Idaho and National Core Arts Standards. Lessons are related to museum exhibits and provide hands-on exploration of 2- or 3-dimensional art processes, art history, art appreciation and technical instruction. After the classroom lesson, classes are invited to visit the museum for a follow-up exhibit tour and related art lesson.
Limited busing scholarships are available.
All visits must be scheduled a minimum of two weeks in advance.
