What are the Museumís hours?
The Art Museum of Eastern Idaho is open Tuesday through Saturday, 11 am - 5 pm and Thursdays 11 am - 8 pm.

What are the Museumís admission prices?
$4 ~ Adults
$2 ~ Youth ages 6 - 18
$2 ~ College students with student ID
Free ~ Children 5 and under
$10 ~ Family
Admission is always free for Museum Members
Admission is FREE on the first Saturday of each month for the general public
Admission is FREE for senior citizens the first Tuesday of each month
Admission is FREE for students with an ID each Thursday night from 5 - 8 pm

How do I get to the Museum?
From I-15 take the Broadway exit; turn east on Broadway. After crossing the Broadway Bridge, take the first right turn (south) onto Capital Avenue. The Museum is on right, just south of the Idaho Falls City Electrical Building (and the red/white/blue water tower).

How do I arrange a Museum tour for school children?
Museum instructors lead tours of exhibits for groups of students when arranged in advance. Students will learn about the artwork in the exhibit, how to look at art, and how to read exhibit labeling. Museum tours provide students with personal contact with original works of art.

Does the Museum allow photography or videotaping?
Photography is not permitted in the Museum galleries. Flash photography, the use of tripods, and the use of movie or video cameras is prohibited.

Photography at weddings and special events is permissible.

Is the Museum accessible to people with disabilities?
The Museum is wheelchair accessible. For the convenience of our patrons, there is a wheelchair available for use inside the Museum. It is available free of charge, on a first-come, first-served basis. Please contact TAM accessibility coordinator, Alexa Stanger for more information.

Can I host a special event or wedding at the Museum?

Can TAM identify and valuate some artwork I found?
TAM does not appraise, evaluate, or authenticate works of art. To find an appraiser in your area, please contact the following resources:

   ē International Society of Appraisers

How can I exhibit my work at TAM?
TAM has a few ways for artists to display their work. If you would like to be considered for a Main Gallery Exhibit, please mail digital images on CDs (JPG images at 300 dpi), slide list, artist statement and bio to TAM Exhibits Committee. CDs will become the property of TAM and will not be returned to the artist. Our Corridor Gallery space is reserved for Idaho artists. Click here for application. If you are a local artist, we recommend you join our Museum Artists Group, which will allow you to exhibit in group exhibitions a few times a year.

How do I donate artwork to TAM?
We appreciate your consideration and are happy to review the piece with our Permanent Collection Committee to determine if the artwork fits our collecting mission and policies. Please e-mail a photograph and a letter about the object to Miyai Abe Griggs, Museum Director, mabe@theartmuseum.org. Please donít bring the piece to the Museum unless you have made an appointment with the Museum Director. You can also mail these materials to:

Does the Museum buy art?
The Museum occasionally considers art for purchase within its collecting mission and policies. Please send a photograph with a letter about the object including information about how the piece was acquired and the terms of your sale. Please do not bring the work of art to the Museum unless you have made an appointment with the Museum Director.
