CERAMICS FOR ADULTS with David Jones
September 9 – 30, Thursdays, 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm
Join artist David Jones in this four-week class and experience the joy of working with clay. Learn the basic approaches to hand-building forms and create
functional pottery as well as expressive sculptural works. Class fees include all supplies and materials.

FIGURE DRAWING FOR BEGINNERS & INTERMEDIATES with Greg Vivian
September 22, 29 & October 6 - 20, Wednesdays, 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm
A study in figure drawing for beginning artists and for those who are "rusty." Students will explore traditional
drawing methods from a more natural and intuitive approach. Stop insisting on the perfection of photo-realism in your drawing and begin to develop expressive line quality. Improve
your abilities and keep drawing fun. This class will help you get excited about drawing again and also help to avoid some of the ruts that intermediate artists experience.

During this three day workshop, students will explore aspects of pigment quality including the “stayers” and “spreaders” as well as how to incorporate compositional devices in their work.
